Investment Thesis

Transportation – Regulatory tailwinds, high cost pressure and demand for low-emission transport solutions create exciting investment opportunities within propulsion, digital technology, materials and ship design.
Harvesting – Increasing demand for seafood mounts pressure on fisheries globally. Sustainable fisheries and aquaculture will play a significant role in the future of food, as will technology to enable the efficient and sustainable utilisation of organic ocean resources.
Energy – The ocean is a significant and largely untapped energy resource. Lowering the cost of offshore renewable energy deployment while improving performance will accelerate the shift towards low and zero emission energy sources.
Ocean Health – Regulatory initiatives to combat resource depletion, increasing public awareness and changing consumer preferences support investments in technology, infrastructure, products and services that are underpinned by circular economy models for a reduced environmental footprint.
New frontiers – Resource pressure and a growing focus on sustainable ocean management bolsters the market for technology to explore and sustainably utilise ocean resources. Data collection and monitoring technologies will play a vital role.
